At first, we were talking about the Hooke Edition, but now the exact name has been approved – Hooke Trail. It refers to Hooke Park, China’s first off‑road sports park. There, a challenging 7‑kilometre mountain route has been laid out for prepared vehicles – and that’s exactly what the new Tank 300 has become.
To cope with harsh conditions, the chassis has been completely redesigned:
- reinforced steering rods and levers;
- increased ground clearance and suspension travel;
- At the front, instead of a two‑link independent suspension, there is a solid axle;
- at the rear, there is also a solid axle;
- shortened overhangs: the approach angle is 41°, the departure angle is 34°;
- 40‑inch off‑road tires are available as an option.
The presentation is scheduled for October 1 — the National Day of the People’s Republic of China.
